Visitor ( Validity ) All Visitor entry permits are valid for a Single Entry stay of 60 days from the date of arrival. Work is prohibited.
Business ( Validity ) Valid for 12 months with a stay of up to 60 days per visit and is normally issued to persons entering PNG for business purposes (such as business explorations and negotiations, board meetings, conferences)
Special Exemption ( Validity ) Special Exemption entry permits are valid up to 3 years and entry conditions depend on the classes of entry permit been applied for. Medical and police checks are NOT required for special Exemption classes of visas.
Working Resident ( Validity ) Working resident classes of visas are valid for periods up to 3 years and are issued for multiple entries in accordance with the expiry dates of the Work Permit issued by the PNG Department of Labour & Employment.
Business Hours
The Consular section of the Embassy of PNG in Beijing is open every working day from Monday to Friday: 9am - 12pm. The office is close for business on official Chinese public holidays and PNG public holiday.
Please note:
1. FOR PRIVATE PASSPORT, THE VISA NEED TO BE COLLECTED BY THE HOLDER OF PASSPORT (INTERVIEW)
2. There are also other categories of visas available upon requests.
3. Chinese wishing to transit via Port Moresby to Honiara, Solomon Islands must first:
(a) Submit their application at the Solomon Island High Commission in Port Moresby;
(b) The Solomon Islands High Commission will then request the PNG Immigration & Citizenship Division to authorize the Embassy of PNG in Beijing to issue appropriate visa |
